0000RCS-Race Car Service of America, Inc. was created in 1980, a business of racecar chassis design and manufacturing along with performance engine machining and building. Over time RCS focus its energy more towards performance engine building and engine part machining. RCS expertise comes from a mixture of areas in study, Automotive Mechanics, Automotive Machinists and Automotive Engineering, when you combine these areas you will arrive at what we call the Performance Racing Industry. The brute explosive power and the shrill of high rpm's creating the sound that tickles your ears and the felt vibration in your chest, this is what I feel fuels the automotive engine builder and drives his/her ambition to produce today's most powerful engines. The Automotive Performance Industry has grown and continues to grow at an enormous rate driven by the desires and love for the automobile. The bite your nails excitement of Stockcar Racing, the brute explosive power in Drag Racing, not to mention the many other exciting types of racing in our wonderful industry, is what makes the Performance Racing Industry so exciting driving ones ambition and motivation to be the best.
00Motivated by engine development RCS decided to convert the racecar chassis portion of the business into mostly engine Research and Development and committed to building, rebuilding and designing engines for the next 20 plus years, building every type engine for every type of customer. Being recognized as a custom engine builder and not just one family of engine builder only increased our knowledge and customer base, over time all engines started to look alike and the process of formulas, machining and required parts in building a race engine became the same. The only difference was the name on the valve cover of the engine and in time these names disappeared and your own took their place. Having built over 5,000 engines in the past 25 year's experience, 70% of them performance engines alike, yet many unique, but all the same a combustion engine. You must first understand the basics before one can really see the hidden requirements of performance engine building. Once you have learned and have the ability to understand what an engine requires to create the power level desired and you're not intimidated by difference or style, you will then start to notice that the leaders in the industry will then become your peers. Having experienced this I knew it was time to pass this complex made simple technology on to others through RCS/AMS.

0000RCS/AMS is a school operated and fueled by the ambition to educate our students, to help mold the future engine builders, technicians, and automotive engine machinist. At RCS/AMS, our staff has recognized the necessary need of personal one on one interaction with theory, lab, and shop experiences. RCS has personally trained 90% of its employees during the past 28 years and understands that with every operation there is a required process; once the proven process is followed the predicted end results will always be the same. What fuels our success is that we follow procedure to the end; we discipline ourselves to follow instruction and not to cut corners, for success comes from discipline and knowledge. At RCS/AMS we have the facility, staff and knowledge from our own experiences to accommodate an ambitious enthusiast with the desire for work ethics which will enable one to excel in the industry of Automotive Engine Technology. Once a student has completed all of our programs a student will be able to conduct himself or herself as a knowledgeable and experienced technician able to enter into the industry with a positive attitude able to contribute to society and prosper from his/her experience at RCS/AMS.
